No. 7 MU Returns Home to Face Villanova Saturday Night

MILWAUKEE -- The No. 7 Marquette University men's soccer team (7-3-1, 1-1-1 BIG EAST) begins a three-match homestand Saturday night when they welcome Villanova (5-4-2, 1-2-1) to Valley Fields for a 7:05 p.m. Central time start.

Last time out on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Marquette fell to Butler 1-0 on the road to snap its eight-match unbeaten and scoreless streaks.

Saturday night's match is Residence Hall Challenge Night for Marquette students. The residence hall with the most members in attendance will receive pizza at halftime. Saturday's match also marks the final High School/Club Team Night of the 2014 season. High school/club teams can receive free admission to the match by contacting Shea Hansen at shea.hansen@mu.edu. This weekend is also Marquette Soccer Weekend. Fans who attend Saturday's men's match can bring their ticket to the women's match on Sunday at 6 p.m. and receive free admission.

Nortey's Golden Goal Gives MU 1-0 Road Win
Redshirt sophomore C. Nortey propelled the Marquette University men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory Saturday at Villanova, tallying the golden goal in the 95th minute at VU Soccer Complex, as MU remained undefeated in BIG EAST Conference play.
