MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University men's soccer freshman C. Nortey earned BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season, and senior Calum Mallace was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced Monday.

Nortey, who was also tabbed to the Top Drawer Soccer Men's College Team of the Week, registered his first collegiate hat trick in Marquette's 3-0 win at Seton Hall. He is currently tied for second in the league with nine goals on the season.

Mallace tallied five points last week on one goal and three assists. He had one assist and scored on a free kick from 40 yards out in the Golden Eagles' 3-2 home loss to nationally ranked Georgetown. Mallace then recorded three helpers in the win over the Pirates, helping first-place Marquette secure its third straight BIG EAST tournament berth under head coach Louis Bennett.

MU travels to top-ranked Connecticut on Wednesday, Oct. 26, before wrapping up the regular season Saturday, Oct. 29, against Pittsburgh at Valley Fields.
