MILWAUKEE -- Sophomore midfielder Hector Navarro was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll announced Monday by conference officials. The recognition is given to the top performers from around the BIG EAST Conference as part of the league's weekly awards.

Navarro netted both of Golden Eagles' goals in their 4-2 loss at Georgetown in the regular-season finale this past Sunday. Navarro hadn't scored since the season-opener against Bryant University and put an end to the team's two-match scoreless streak in the process.

Fellow sophomore Anthony Colaizzi was the only other MU player to record a multi-goal game during the 2008 season. Navarro also joins goalkeeper Matt Pyzdrowski, who received a BIG EAST Honor Roll nod on Sept. 8.

Navarro played in all 17 games for the Golden Eagles this season, including 10 starts. he tallied six points on three goals.
