Top Drawer Soccer's Men's Freshman Top 100

MILWAUKEE - Senior midfielder Calum Mallace of the Marquette University men's soccer team was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's 2011 NCAA Men's Division I All-Great Lakes First Team.

Mallace was one of 11 players from the NSCAA Great Lakes Region to receive first team honors. In his final season for MU, Mallace played in 16 games and tallied 12 points on three goals and a team-best six assists. He was named the BIG EAST Conference's Midfielder of the Year and earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team.

Along with the NSCAA honors, Mallace has been named a candidate for The Soccer News Net College Boot by ChicagolandSoccerNews.com. Online fan voting will determine who receives Soccer News Net's Player of the Year. Vote here for Mallace.

Freshmen C. Nortey and Sebastian Jansson have been named to Top Drawer Soccer's Men's Freshmen Top 100 list as the No. 13 and No. 57 ranked players, respectively. Nortey saw action in 19 games during his freshman campaign and lead the Golden Eagles with nine goals and 20 points. Jansson had two goals and one assist for MU in 18 games this season.
