Three Men's Soccer Players Named NSCAA All-Region

MILWAUKEE -- Three student-athletes from the Marquette University men's soccer team were selected to 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's All-Great Lake Region teams, it was announced Wednesday.
Sjoberg finished his MU career in 2014 as a standout defender, received the team's most valuable player award in back-to-back seasons and was a 2014 All-BIG EAST Conference First Team member. The Stockholm, Sweden, native, registered three assists and was a key cog at center back for MU's strong defense.
Bennett II didn't slow down from his strong rookie campaign in 2013, finishing the 2014 season with a team-high six assists and also potted four goals. The sophomore from Shorewood, Wisconsin was a 2014 All-BIG EAST First Team selection.
Nortey, a redshirt junior, finished first on the squad in points this season (7g, 2a) and was a 2014 All-BIG EAST First Team member. The Ghanaian striker is MU's active career points leader with 58.
