Marquette Downs IUPUI 6-1 In Home Lidlifter
Jan. 25, 2014
The match was the home opener for the Golden Eagles, who will return to action next weekend at Minnesota.
MU opened the match by claiming a pair of doubles victory to secure the point and the early 1-0 advantage over the Jaguars. The Golden Eagles dropped a total of just three games in the two wins.
"I was happy with the way the guys came out and set the tone in doubles," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "We were then able to carry that over to singles and everyone was able to get off the court rather quickly."
Marquette didn't drop a set in five of the six singles matchups and quickly secured the four points needed for the team victory. Clinching wins for the Golden Eagles were Dan Mamalat, Vukasin Teofanovic, Nick Dykema, Cameron Tehrani and Kristiyan Trukov.
