The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-2) saw its three-match winning streak come to an end with a tough 4-3 loss at Boston College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Golden Eagles are now a perfect 3-0 in the friendly confines of Helfaer Tennis Stadium, but have dropped both of their road matchups. MU lost 7-0 at No. 25 Minnesota in the dual-match opener.

Boston College claimed a tightly-contested doubles point, posting 9-8 victories at both the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Marquette's tandem of junior Jose Carlos Gutierrez Crowley and sophomore Dan Mamalat remained a perfect 5-0 in dual competition with a 9-8 victory of its own and is now 7-2 overall for the season. Marquette received singles victories from Mamalat, sophomore Logon Collins (No. 5) and senior Drake Kakar (No. 6), but wasn't able to collect the team win.

The Golden Eagles return to action Sunday afternoon when the squad faces Dartmouth.
