The Marquette University men's tennis team (5-5) defeated IPFW (4-5) 7-0 Friday night in non-conference action at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

The victory extended Marquette's home-court winning streak to 20 matches. The current run dates back to the end of the 2012-13 campaign.

Marquette opened the match by claiming the valuable doubles point. Senior Vukasin Teofanovic and junior Daniel Fernandez posted a quick 6-3 decision and the No. 3 tandem of sophomore Kristiyan Trukov and freshman Andre Romanello clinched it with a tough 7-5 victory.

Teofanovic quickly earned a straight-set win to move MU ahead 2-0 and sophomore Nick Dykema followed suit at No. 3. Romanello clinched the team win with a 7-6, 6-2 decision at No. 4.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday afternoon when the squad hosts Green Bay at 12 p.m. CT.
