The Marquette University men's tennis team (5-5) dropped a 6-1 decision Sunday afternoon at No. 28 Notre Dame (10-4) at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

MU, which is 5-0 in the friendly confines of the Helfear Tennis Stadium, still remains in search of its first dual match victory on the road in 2011-12.

Notre Dame opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches, including a narrow 8-7 (10-8) decision over Marquette's Jose Carlos Gutierrez Crowley and Dan Mamalat.

Freshman Cameron Tehrani was the lone Golden Eagle to claim a singles victory on the day, downing Notre Dame's Michael Moore 3-6, 6-2, 7-5. The victory was the ninth in the last 10 outings for Tehrani, who is now second on the roster with 13 victories for the year.

The Golden Eagles open a three-match homestand on March 2 when the squad welcomes Southern Illinois to campus at 5:30 p.m. CT.
