The Marquette University men’s tennis team (6-4) remained undefeated at home in dramatic fashion Sunday afternoon, rallying to defeat Utah (10-4) 4-3 in non-conference action.

The Golden Eagles are now 6-0 at Helfaer Tennis Stadium in 2016-17.

After falling behind early in the match, MU chipped away at the lead and eventually claimed the team victory with a 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 win by sophomore Greg Anderson at No. 3 singles.

“I was really proud of the way our guys competed all day,” head coach Steve Rodecap said. “Greg has been a key part of our lineup since he arrived on campus and already has a lot of experience in pressure situations.”

Also claiming wins for Marquette in singles were Alvaro Verdu, Kristiyan Trukov and Brett Meyers. Marquette returns to action on March 8 when the team hosts Northern Illinois.
