The Marquette University men's tennis team (6-7) dropped a 7-0 decision at No. 42 Denver (8-5) Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Gates Tennis Center.

The loss opened a five-match road swing for Marquette. Four of MU's losses this season have come on the road against nationally ranked opponents.

Denver opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. The Pioneers were then able to earn three straight-set singles decisions to clinch the team victory. Sophomore Nick Dykema was able to claim the first set in his matchup, but that was the only success the team would encounter on Saturday.

Marquette returns to action March 13 at UNLV.
