Men's Tennis Downs Buffalo 7-0 In Non-League Action

Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's tennis team (10-4) concluded its weekend homestand with a 7-0 non-conference victory over Buffalo Sunday afternoon at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center. The Golden Eagles dropped just one set against the Bulls and are now 10-1 at home this season. MU also defeated Chicago State 7-0 Saturday afternoon in non-league action. Marquette swept through doubles play, losing a total of just five games in the three matches. Senior Brett Binkley and sophomore Mark Rutherford improved to 22-7 overall on the year and 8-3 in dual matches with a quick 8-1 decision at the No. 1 position. Sophomore Dusan Medan earned a 6-1, 6-7, 1-0 (10-7) win at No. 2 singles and is now 25-7 overall. His 25 victories pace the roster. The Golden Eagles hit the road next weekend for three matches in California.
