The Marquette University men's tennis team (14-4) earned its second-straight 4-3 victory on Saturday afternoon, this time defeating Nevada (2-6) in San Diego, Calif., to cap a week-long road swing.

Sophomore Drake Kakar secured the team victory with a 7-6, 0-6, 7-5 decision over Kristian Kuharszky at the No. 6 position. With the match knotted at 3-3, Kakar was able to close out the match on his fourth match point in the third set.

In Friday's victory over Loyola Marymount, it was Mark Rutherford who clinched the team win as the final match on the court in the 4-3 victory.

MU captured the doubles point on Saturday with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Also claiming singles wins for Marquette were freshmen Otavio Perim and Jacob Straus. Both players collected straight-set decisions at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.
