The Marquette University men's tennis team (11-9) collected a 6-1 victory over Wright State (10-18) Friday night at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in non-conference action.

The Golden Eagles will conclude the regular season at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon against BIG EAST rival DePaul at home. MU will honor seniors Vukasin Teofanovic and Cameron Tehrani before the first serve.

Wright State opened the match by claiming the doubles point, earning the win at the No. 1 and 2 positions. Marquette's tandem of Kristiyan Trukov and Andre Romanello posted a quick 6-1 decision at No. 3 and is now 9-2 on the year overall and 5-0 in dual action.

Marquette was able to jump out to a quick advantage across-the-board and never looked back en route to claiming the team victory. Straight-set wins by Teofanovic, Tehrani, sophomore Mackenzie Stearns and Trukov allowed MU to jump ahead 4-1.

Sophomore Nick Dykema amd senior Daniel Fernandez also picked up a singles win Friday night.
