The Marquette University men’s tennis team wrapped up play at the 36th Annual Ball State Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon in Muncie, Ind., while also competing at the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla.

After Friday’s action, the Golden Eagles had three players alive in the Flight A draw, but no member of the trio was able to advance to the championship match. Sophomore Kristiyan Trukov and senior Cameron Tehrani both fell in their respective semifinal matchups and freshman Andre Romanello was downed in the quarterfinals.

In Flight B action, junior Gleb Sklyr and sophomore Mackenzie Stearns saw their tourney come to an end in the quarterfinals as well.

Stearns and Trukov advanced to the semifinals of the Flight A doubles bracket, but dropped a narrow 8-6 decision to a duo from Ball State.

In action at the ITA All-American, Marquette’s Daniel Fernandez, Nick Dykema and Vukasin Teofanovic all dropped their opening matches in the pre-qualifying draw. Each will play a bonus match on Sunday before returning to Milwaukee.
