The Marquette University men’s tennis team wrapped up play at the 2015 ITA All-American Sunday afternoon in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with singles competition in the pre-qualifying draw.

The Golden Eagles sent four players to the event, but only Daniel Fernandez advanced in the main bracket on the opening day Saturday.  Unfortunately for MU, Fernandez dropped a tough 6-3, 7-6 decision to Tyler Pham of UC Irvine.

MU’s junior class was in action in the consolation portion of the pre-qualifying bracket.  Mackenzie Stearns fell in a hard-fought match to Louis Asser, coming up on the short end of a 7-5, 7-6 decision.  Nick Dykema and Kristiyan Trukov were also defeated in straight sets.

Marquette returns to action on Oct. 22 when the squad travels to South Bend, Indiana, for the ITA Midwest Regional.
