Men's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Campaign At Texas Invitational

Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's tennis team continued play at the 2007 MU Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon, posting main draw victories in both singles and doubles action.

The Golden Eagles will play for the title in each of the three singles draws after going undefeated in Saturday's action, having already locked up a victory in Flight "B."

Sophomore Dusan Medan downed Brian Livingston of Northern Illinois in the Flight "A" draw by rallying for a 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 victory. He will take on Benjamin Raynauld of Butler Sunday morning in the title match.

Sophomore Nick Boulieris and senior Pet Van Lieshout each posted semifinal wins in Flight "B" and will play for team bragging rights and the flight's championship. Each of the two players earned straight-set victories and Boulieris has yet to drop a set this weekend.

Senior Greg Sirotek claimed a hard-fought 7-6, 7-6 win over Matt Keesey of Green Bay in Flight "C" action and will face Northern Illinois' Alfanzo Monroy for the title.

In doubles competition, senior Brett Binkley and sophomore Mark Rutherford advanced to the championship of the top draw after posting a pair of victories. The MU duo will face Eric Breitenbach and Chris Herron of Butler, who defeated Marquette's Boulieris and Van Lieshout in the semifinals, Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
