Oct. 6, 2009

Tulsa, Okla. - Senior Dusan Medan of the Marquette University men's tennis team is now just one victory away from earning a spot in the main draw at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships following his latest victory Tuesday morning in Tulsa, Okla.

Fresh off a win on Monday over a nationally ranked opponent from Nebraska, Medan returned to the court early Tuesday morning and posted a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 decision over Minnesota's Sebastian Gallego. Medan now owns five-straight victories since pre-qualifying play began Saturday morning.

"I feel better with every match I play," Medan said. "It was difficult to get moving today after four matches, but I stayed in there and am looking forward to tomorrow. I think I did a good job today of staying aggressive."

The Nis, Serbia, native will face Sebastien Vidal of William & Mary on Wednesday. Vidal defeated Leo Rosenberg of Hawaii 6-2, 6-4.
