The Marquette University men’s tennis team wrapped up play on Sunday at the 2016 Bobby Bayliss Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, with singles and doubles play.

Seven members of the squad have been competing in South Bend, Ind., since Friday morning against programs from throughout the region.

Sophomore Greg Anderson and freshman Luke Smrek were able to claim singles victories to conclude tourney action on Sunday. Anderson rallied past Jan Pallares of Memphis 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 and Smrek downed Brandon Lancaster of Louisville in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

The Golden Eagles will return to action on Oct. 20 at the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by Ohio State.
