The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2011-12 campaign with action Sunday at the Northwestern Wildcat Invitational in Evanston, Ill.

While the championship matches weren't played in three of the four singles draws, the Golden Eagles did have a pair of individuals advance to the title matchup. Senior Jonathan Schwerin posted a hard fought win in the semifinals of the Flight B bracket, earning a 7-6, 6-7, 1-0 (10-5) decision over his opponent from Minnesota.

Freshman Cameron Tehrani had a much easier time against his Golden Gopher foe, posting a 6-3, 6-1 win in the Flight C draw. Classmate David Packowitz claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win to earn the consolation title in the Flight D draw.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Jan. 21 when the team opens the dual match campaign at Minnesota.
