The Marquette University men’s tennis team continued its dominance Saturday at the MU Fall Invitational, hosted by the Golden Eagles at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

Marquette will play for the championship in each of the four main draws and is already guaranteed the championship in three of the flights.

Team bragging rights were on the line a majority of the day as MU players matched up against each other in a number of singles matches. Junior Dusan Medan downed classmate Niko Boulieris 6-3, 7-6 to earn a spot in the “A” flight finals. He will face junior Mark Rutherford in the deciding match Sunday morning.

In the “B” flight senior Stephen Shao and sophomore Juan-Martin Paredes will take to the court on Sunday morning to decide the champion. Shao defeated freshman J.T. Christian 6-2, 6-3 while Paredes moved past doubles teammate Drake Kakar 6-4, 6-0.

MU also enjoyed success in both doubles draws and will compete for the title in both.

The three-day event concludes Sunday morning.
