MU Wraps Up Fall Campaign With Action At Texas Invitational Saturday

Austin, Texas - The Marquette men’s tennis team wrapped up play at the 2009 Texas Invitational Saturday morning with singles action in the consolation bracket of the open draw. Freshman Otavio Perim, sophomore Jonathan Schwerin and senior Niko Boulieris were all defeated in their respective quarterfinal matchups. Perim was downed by Cledson Carvalho of Laredo 6-2, 6-3, Boulieris fell to Marton Horvath of Lamar and Rook Schellenberg of Texas dispatched of Schwerin 6-3, 6-3. Saturday’s action marked the conclusion of the Fall campaign for MU, which will return to the court in January to open the 2010 dual match schedule.
