The Marquette University men's tennis team continued play at the 2008 Texas Invitational Saturday afternoon, as the squad wraps up the fall portion of its 2008-09 campaign.
Junior Niko Boulieris and freshman Drake Kakar were the only two Golden Eagles remaining in the main draw following Friday's play, but unfortunately each player was defeated in the quarterfinals. Marquette did pick up a number of wins in the consolation draws Saturday. The remaining four members of the team to make the trip competed in both draws. Sophomore Juan-Martin Paredes claimed a quarterfinal win with a 7-5, 6-2 decision against Marcus Dornauf of UT-Pan American.
Freshman Jonathan Schwerin also earned a quarterfinal victory in flight "B" consolation, dropping Nokoloz Kurdadze of Portland, 6-2, 6-3.
