Marquette Concludes Play At UT Invitational With Singles Action

The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up play at the UT Invitational in Austin, Texas, Saturday afternoon with singles competition.

Sophomore Cameron Tehrani wrapped up his impressive fall campaign with an appearance in the Flight B semifinals. He downed UT-Arlington's Carlos Arbiza 6-3, 6-2 before falling to Ben Chen of Texas, 7-5, 6-4.

Junior Logon Collins dropped his quarterfinal matchup to top-seeded Orlando Superlano of TCU 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore Vukasin Teofanovic picked up his second impressive victory on the weekend, defeating No. 77 Nick Chappell of TCU 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 in an extra match.

"I was pretty happy with the weekend and say some good tennis from each of the four guys here," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "Each of these players is going to play a large role in our success in the dual match season and it was good to see them finish strong."
