The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2010-11 campaign Saturday afternoon with singles action at the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas.

Seven members of the squad were participating in the tourney, which consisted of two singles draws and one doubles bracket.

Entering play on Saturday, sophomore Otavio Perim and freshman Logon Collins both remained alive in the Flight B main draw after each claimed a pair of wins on Friday. Perim was defeated in his opener on Saturday, falling 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 to John Warden of Oklahoma.

Collins, who owns a team-best 11 singles wins this season, downed Erik Hjertonsson of UT-Arlington before falling to former MU player Jacob Straus 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals. Straus, who now plays at Oklahoma, played for the Golden Eagles as a freshman in 2009-10.

The Golden Eagles return to the court on Jan. 22, 2011 when the squad travels to Minnesota to open the dual match slate.
