The Marquette University men's tennis team travels to Minneapolis, Minn., Friday, Jan. 31 to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Marquette (2-1) claimed a decisive victory over IUPUI in its home opener this past Saturday, Jan. 25. Minnesota (1-2) secured its first victory of the young season against BYU last Saturday, earning a 4-0 sweep of Brigham Young. The Golden Gophers have faced some tough competition so far this season, taking on two teams ranked in the top 50 in the country in BYU and Notre Dame.
After Friday's action versus Minnesota, Marquette returns home to host UIC Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. CT. UIC (0-3) seeks to secure its first victory when it travels to Milwaukee. The Flames fell 6-1 to IPFW in their most recent action, with senior Alan Reifer claiming the lone win.
