The Marquette University Men's tennis team (5-3) will face the Wisconsin Badgers one the road Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium at 6 p.m. as the squad continues its 2011-12 dual-match campaign.

The two rivals have combined to win each of their home matches thus far, but have yet to claim a victory on the road. The Golden Eagles dropped a 6-1 decision to the Badgers in Madison in 2010-11.

"It's going to be a big challenge for us," head coach Steve Rodecapsaid. "We have never played really well there and are still looking for a match where all six guys play well.

"Doubles is going to be really important and set the tempo for the match," Rodecap added.

Marquette heads to Madison coming off a a pair of wins at home against Western Illinois and South Dakota State Feb. 18. MU defeated both teams with a clean sweep of 7-0. Freshman David Packowitz made his dual-match debut with a victory and classmate Cameron Tehrani continues to impress with a nine-match winning streak and current record of 10-4.

"We need a big performance by someone who we haven't received one from yet through the first eight matches," Rodecap said. "We know what to expect from a number of the guys, but we need some of the others to really step up and accept the challenge and show the coaching staff they want to be out there."

Wisconsin (2-3) returns home after losing back-to-back matches against No. 68 Clemson, 6-1, and No. 29 Georgia Tech, 5-2, last weekend. The Badgers doubles team of Fredrik Ask and Billy Bertha upset the No. 2 doubles team in the country- Georgia Tech's Kevin King and Juan Spir, 8-4.
