Marquette To Play In Boise State Spring Break Classic

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's tennis team will take a break from its dual match slate as it travels to Boise, Idaho to participate in the Boise State Spring Break Classic on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26.
The tournament format will feature an eight-team draw with a championship and consolation bracket. Marquette (9-6) will take on Idaho, ranked No. 56 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, in the opening round on Friday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. CT at the Crane Creek Tennis Center. The Golden Eagles will face Ball State or St. Mary's depending upon the outcome.
Along with Marquette and Idaho, host Boise State will welcome Ball State, St. Mary's, Portland, Eastern Washington and Wichita State.
"It has been a few years since we played in Boise State's tournament and we look forward to going back," MU head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It will be a challenging field and we should get some good opportunities this weekend."
The matches this weekend will be played at four sites, Appleton Tennis Center, Boise Racquet and Swim Club, Crane Creek Tennis Center and Julia Davis Tennis Center.
This weekend's tournament will mark the conclusion of a six-match road swing for the Golden Eagles.
