MU Hosts Wright State for Sunday Afternoon Tilt

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University men's tennis team is set to host Wright State on March 26 at the Helfaer Stadium at 11 a.m. Central time.

The Golden Eagles (10-4) spent their Spring break in San Antonio were they picked up three wins against New Orleans, Incarnate Word and UTSA. With the addition of these wins, MU holds a five-match winning streak.

Alvaro Verdu has been leading the way for Marquette at the head singles spot (6-5), and helped claim the win against New Orleans and UTSA. The No. 1 doubles team of Kristiyan Trukov and Alvaro Verdu (2-3) handled UTSA with a 6-1 final.

Wright State (3-11) travels to UWGB before coming to Milwaukee on Sunday. The Raiders are led by Jacob Perkins at the top singles position (4-8) and Javier Alvarez de la villa and Carlos Estrada- Sanchez (0-5) at the No. 1 doubles spot.

Marquette will go on a four-match road trip beginning April 1 against UMKC at 2 p.m. Central time.
