The Marquette University men's tennis team returns home to Helfaer Tennis Stadium this weekend after its spring break trip out west.

Friday, the squad will take on Green Bay at 6 p.m. and Saturday, the team will face BIG EAST Conference opponent Xavier at 4 p.m. Students in attendance for the match versus the Musketeers will receive free pizza.

The Golden Eagles (10-8) boast an undefeated record (7-0) at home. The last time MU took to its home court was March 6 against Northern Illinois. Freshman Kristiyan Trukov secured the squad’s 4-3 win at the No. 6 singles position with a 6-0, 6-7, 6-3 victory.

Marquette is coming off a five-match stretch on the road. Despite going 1-4, the team only lost by one point in three of the five matches that were played. In its most recent action, the Golden Eagles lost 4-3 to Utah State. Vukasin Teofanovic, Nick Dykema and Kristiyan Trukov were the lone Marquette players to claim singles wins for MU.

Green Bay (10-6) enters Helfaer after dropping a 4-3 decision to Stetson on the road. Last year, MU defeated Green Bay 4-3. In that match, the Phoenix overtook doubles play, but the Golden Eagles rallied to claim the four singles victories, which included Teofanovic, who rallied for a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 win.

Xavier (9-8) will play at Northern Kentucky before heading to Marquette. The fellow BIG EAST counterpart currently holds a 2-6 away record. The Musketeers recently swept Dayton 7-0 at home. Seniors Jimmy Roebker and Mesa Mei notched a win at the No. 1 doubles position as well as Roebker earning a victory at the No. 1 singles and Mei at No. 2.

After the matches, Marquette heads to DePaul on Saturday, April 12 for a 3 p.m. CT opening serve.
