MU's Dusan Medan Named All-BIG EAST Conference

April 30, 2010

Milwaukee -

Senior Dusan Medan of the Marquette University men’s tennis team has been named All-BIG EAST Conference for the second-straight season, the league office announced Friday afternoon.

The Nis, Serbia, native is the first Marquette player to earn multiple all-league accolades since Peter Mojzis claimed All-Conference USA honors for the second time in 2000-01.

“What Dusan has been able to accomplish through his hard work and dedication in his three seasons at MU is impressive,” head coach Steve Rodecap said. “As a result, he has earned some well-deserved recognition from the league’s coaches.”

Medan posted a 27-10 singles record in 2009-10 and earned the program’s first individual national ranking (currently 86) in at least a decade. His victory total led the roster and all but one of his 16 dual match wins came at the No. 1 position. He concluded his career ranked first all-time at MU in singles wins (88) and fifth in total victories (141).
