Steve Rodecap Named Marquette's Director Of Tennis
May 10, 2018
Steve Rodecap, head coach of the Marquette University men’s tennis team, has been named Director of Tennis, effective immediately, Vice President & Director of Athletics Bill Scholl announced Thursday morning.
Rodecap, who recently led Marquette to its first BIG EAST Conference Championship, will maintain his position as head coach of the men’s team, while also providing oversight and assistance to the day-to-day operations of the women’s program.
“Steve has had a tremendous amount of success with the men’s program and I am excited about the future of both teams under his leadership,” Scholl said. “Having the combined efforts of Steve, Jody (Bronson) and the assistant coaches will benefit all of our student-athletes, both on and off the court.
“This is a great next step for Steve in his career while also providing an opportunity for our women’s players to benefit from working with one of the best tennis coaches in the country,” Scholl added.
The women’s team is currently led by Jody Bronson, who has been with the University for over 30 years. Bronson will remain the head coach, but report to the director of tennis.
