2017-18 Schedule

The Marquette University men's tennis team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 campaign, 15th-year head coach Steve Rodecap has announced.

The fall portion will begin on the road for the first time since 2013 with the Purdue Fall Invitational from Sept. 15-17.

The squad will continue its fall stretch at the 42nd Milwaukee Tennis Classic (MTC) hosted by the Town Club in Fox Point, Wis.

In recent years, the MTC consisted of both men's and women's individual and doubles play. One major change for 2017 will be the return to an at-large, individual competition taking place Sept. 12-14. This year's MTC singles winners will also receive wild cards into the Intercollegiate Athletic Association (ITA) National Tournament located in Indian Wells, Calif. from Nov. 1-5.

Following the MTC, Marquette will remain on the road for the remainder of the fall, highlighted by trips to the ITA All-American and ITA Regional tournaments.

From Oct. 13-15, the fall slate will send Marquette southbound for the Louisville Fall Invite. The Golden Eagles return to the Midwest for the ITA Regional Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan from Oct. 19-23 and will wrap up the fall season in Normal, Ill. at the Redbird Fall Classic.

The spring campaign will open with a road matchup against Iowa on Jan. 19 before Marquette heads home for five-straight contests at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

Marquette will head west to Madison, Wis. to take on instate foe Wisconsin on Feb. 15.

After taking on Toledo (Feb. 17) and South Dakota State (Feb. 24) at Helfaer Tennis Stadium, the Golden Eagles head on a six-match road trip beginning in Bloomington, Ind. and ending in New York, N.Y.

Marquette finishes out the regular season against Detroit (March 30), Butler (April 13) and DePaul (April 21). The BIG EAST Tournament will take place in Cayce, S.C. from April 27-29 to finish out the year. MU has reached the title match for the past three years and most recently fell to Butler, 4-3.
