Four members of the Marquette University men's tennis team will send four members of its 2009-10 roster to the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championships this weekend, hosted by the University of Michigan.

Representing Marquette will be freshmen Jose Carlos Gutierrez Crowley and Jacob Straus, along with seniors Dusan Medan and Mark Rutherford.

Each of the four players has earned a spot in the main draw, with play beginning Friday morning at the Varsity Tennis Center. MU will also feature the doubles tandems of Medan/Straus and Gutierrez Crowley/Rutherford.

Rutherford will face Marek Michalicka of Wisconsin in the round of 64 and Gutierrez Crowley will take on Cleveland State's Phil Orno. Straus opens with Daniel Stahl of Notre Dame and Medan, seeded No. 11 in the bracket, will wait for a player to advance in the pre-qualifying draw.
