The doubles tandem of sophomore Otavio Perim and freshman Thibault Troude claimed a pair of victories in the lone doubles draw, earning a spot in the championship match with an 8-5 decision over a duo from Iowa. Doubles action concluded on Saturday and the final contest will not be played.
Freshman Logon Collins, the lone Golden Eagle alive in the Flight A main draw entering play on Saturday, saw his five-match winning streak come to an end with a 6-3, 6-2 setback to Andrew McCarthy of Northwestern. Classmate Dan Mamalat also posted a win in the consolation draw of the main bracket, but was defeated in his next matchup.
The Golden Eagles return to action next weekend at the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by fellow league member Notre Dame.
