The Marquette University men’s tennis team wraps up the fall portion of its 2011-12 campaign this weekend with competition at the Northwestern Invitational in Evanston, Ill.

Six members of the squad will take part in this weekend’s event. Freshmen James Stark, Cameron Tehrani and David Packowitz, sophomore Logon Collins and seniors Drake Kakar and Jonathan Schwerin will participate in singles and doubles action at the Combe Indoor Tennis Center.

“It’s the last tournament for the guys we are taking to make an impression as we get ready for the dual match season,” head coach Steve Rodecap said. “There is going to be some good competition there and the opportunity is available for each player to collect some quality victories.”

The 11-team field will compete in four flights of singles and two doubles brackets. Along with the host Wildcats and MU, also playing this weekend are DePaul, Western Michigan, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois State.

Opening serve is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Friday.
