Oct. 24, 2013
The Marquette University men’s tennis team wraps up the fall portion of its 2013-14 campaign this weekend at the Texas Invitational.
The Golden Eagles will compete in both singles and doubles flights and will be represented by five players. Senior Logon Collins, junior Cameron Tehrani and freshman Nick Dykema are included in the flight A draw and sophomore Gleb Sklyr and freshman Kristiyan Trukov will be among the flight B participants.
“We have done a lot of good things on the court this fall and I am looking forward to a strong finish,” head coach Steve Rodecap said. “We won’t compete again until the dual match schedule in January, so it’s imperative we enter the break with some positive results.”
The event will feature two singles draws -- draw ‘A’ is a bracket of 64, while draw ‘B’ is a bracket of 32. There will be one doubles draw of 32. Teams with players competing in Austin this weekend include Air Force, Ball State, Lamar, Laredo Community College, Marquette, Notre Dame, St. Edwards, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UT Arlington, UTSA and UT Tyler.
