Marquette Wraps Up Fall Season At Louisville

The Marquette University men’s tennis team will wrap up the fall portion of its 2015-16 campaign this weekend at the Louisville Invitational.

The 14-team event begins on Oct. 30 and runs through Nov. 1 on the indoor and outdoor courts at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Louisville. The participants will compete in three singles and doubles draws, with both championship and consolation bracket action.

Marquette is sending four members of its roster to Louisville. Senior Gleb Sklyr, junior Kristiyan Trukov, sophomore Scott Christian and freshman Alvaro Verdu will all represent MU on the courts with the doubles tandems being Trukov/Christian and Verdu/Sklyr.

“It’s been awhile since we have been to this tournament and it’s a great way for some of our guys to get in some extra matches,” head coach Steve Rodecap said. “I am looking forward to a successful weekend and finishing the fall on a positive note.”
