CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Marquette wrestling team came out on the short end of two decisions in dual meet action on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Northern Iowa. The host Panthers, ranked 19th in the nation, upended Marquette 46-4 in the first match. Wyoming blanked MU 50-0 in the second contest.

Marquette's only win in either match was at the 157 pound division. Jake Herreld earned a decision over Northern Iowa's Tom Koenig, 16-6. MU dropped six other decisions to UNI and lost three by no contest.

Wyoming proved to get the best of MU in each match, with the closest contest coming from MU's Herreld. He lost to Wyoming's Chad Plummer in the 157-pound class, 3-1.

Marquette continues its wrestling season on Saturday, Jan. 27 with the Marquette Open.
