Danielle Armstrong (formerly McKenzie) is in her sixth year as an athletic trainer at Marquette and works with with the women's soccer team and previously worked with cross country, track and field teams and women's lacrosse.
Her current responsibilities include day-to-day student-athlete rehabilitation and treatment, practice coverage, and insurance and billing coordination for the sports medicine department. She is also a clinical instructor for the undergraduate athletic training educational program at Marquette University.
While at Marquette, Armstrong served as medical director for the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in Milwaukee, Wis., 2013 Big East Women's Soccer Championships and served in the same capacity in multiple first rounds of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championships in Milwaukee, WI.
The New Berlin, Wis., native earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Marquette in 2008. After Marquette, McKenzie earned a master's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training at Michigan State. While in East Lansing, McKenzie outreached to Lansing Sexton High School as a certified athletic trainer.
Danielle and her husband, Chris, were married in July of 2012.
