I woke up this morning and took a walk around the complex one last time. To be expected it was dark in the gym, which seemed odd at first because for the last five days that place was full of so much energy and life. Last night's game against Argentina was every bit as wild as we thought it would be. The crowd was incredibly loud, and I think I'll be hearing horns in my mind for another week. If I had closed my eyes, I would have thought I was at a soccer game! The game was close at first. But once they got in the flow of the game, there was no looking back.

If you missed seeing the scores, we are 3-0 defeating Venezuela, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Canada was our biggest challenge so far, however, our next two games will be tough. We play Brazil today and they are a very physical team. I thought Canada was physical but Brazil makes Canada look gentle!

The cafeteria was working the first day, but has been out ever since. I just found this other spot where I could connect with all of you - in a hallway outside a practice gym. The things we do to stay connected with the rest of the world! First thing I did was check the Brewer's score. Another victory over the Cards! Great job Brew Crew! I can't wait to catch them in action when I return!

Is anyone out there a fan of the Today Show? Every once in a while I like to start my day with that show, and one of my favorite segments is "Where in the world is Matt Lauer." Matt will take a week and travel to different spots all over the globe. This year he started his adventure in Buenos Aires, Argentina! I remember watching it thinking how wonderful that part of the world looked, and wouldn't you know that is where I am headed today! We are going from steamy hot temperatures where sweat just pours off you when you walk outside, to winter temperatures in Argentina. Well, it is not quite Milwaukee winter temperatures, but it will be around a 40-degree change for us as temperatures range from 40 to 60 degrees.

Since it was a long travel day, we gave the team a day off from practice which gave them an opportunity to tour our nation's capital that evening. Bill, Carol and I opted to stay in so we could do our phone calls to recruits that day. For those who aren't familiar with the NCAA rules, Division I coaches are given certain time periods when we can call potential student-athletes, and Wednesday started that small window of opportunity to get in touch. However, we get another chance to tour Sunday before departing for Argentina.
