2002-2003 Alsdurf worked her way up the Marquette scoring rotation, averaging 11.9 points per game. Her total was up almost five points per game from a year ago. She was MU's leading scorer in conference play, averaging 11.8 per game. That effort was thanks to a pair of 20 point outings, each career bests, against Louisville (Feb. 21) and Cincinnati (Feb. 23). Her previous season best was 18 against Notre Dame (Dec. 31) as she launched a career high 21 shots. She was a solid free-throw shooter, hitting 86.4 percent. She also tied a career best, at the time, with four steals at Iowa State (Jan. 2). She finished 12th in the league in that category, averaging 1.9 per game. Her defense has been solid all season, recording a now career-high six steals in two different games. She robbed six South Florida players (Jan. 17) and did the same against Tulane (Feb. 9). Offensively, Alsdurf was been up and down since the beginning of January before closing the year strong. After a pair of nine point outings following a pair of 16 point games against Iowa State and Wisconsin (Jan. 5), she scored 13 points or higher in three of her next four contests. However, she went scoreless against TCU (Jan. 31) and Houston (Feb. 2), marking the first time in her career she was scoreless in back-to-back games. She responded with 16 against Tulane (Feb. 7) and 12 against Southern Miss (Feb. 9). Postseason play was kind to Alsdurf as she came up big in three games. She put up 11 points and grabbed six boards against Charlotte (March 7) in the C-USA Quarterfinals. She added 16 points and six rebounds in MU's first round win over Toledo (March 20) in the WNIT. She also scored 12 against Iowa (March 23) in the second round of the tournament. Alsdurf has hit big shots on several occasions. Against Saint Louis (Jan. 26), she scored a running layup that forced overtime before MU came back to win. She also hit a jumper against Southern Miss that put MU ahead with 20 seconds before overtime was forced. She tied the C-USA Quarterfinal game against Charlotte (March 7) with a pair of free throws before Pam Brown hit a layup at the buzzer. Alsdurf was Marquette's leading scorer on its four-game summer exhibition schedule. She scored 12.3 points per game, hitting 44.2 percent. She started the trip with 12 points against Newpolibasket (May 20). She scored 14 against Pool Comense (May 22). She finished the tour with 16 off the bench against EnergyCA GEAS (May 25). 2001-2002 One of two freshman on the Marquette roster, Alsdurf made a significant impact on the season, earning Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors. Second on the team in scoring (with 7.3) and field goal attempts. Alsdurf pushed her way into the starting lineup after Marquette's 0-2 start as Terri Mitchell juggled the lineup against Alaska Anchorage. In her first collegiate start, Alsdurf was 6-of-11 with 12 points against the Seawolves. That game started a string of five out of seven games with 12 or more points. She ended the seven game span with a career high 19 points against Dayton to bring her season average up to 10.0. Since that time period, Alsdurf scored double figures on five occasions. She tallied 13 points off the bench against East Carolina, responding to Terri Mitchell's lineup juggling. She averages 3.5 boards per game, grabbing as many as nine to go along with her nine points against Arkansas State. She showed an ability to dish to the open teammate, logging 42 assists on the year, fourth on the team. In consecutive games against La Salle, Dayton and Arkansas State, she recorded four assists, tying her season high each time. She also had four assists against South Florida. High School (Forest Lake) Alsdurf, a 6-foot guard from Forest Lake High School in Forest Lake, Minn., was a two-time All-State performer and was the backbone of her high school team. Playing for Jen Hesse at Forest Lake, Alsdurf was a Player-of-the-Year candidate in Minnesota, an Honorable Mention All-America in 1999 and 2000 by Street & Smith and an Honorable Mention All-America by USA Today. Alsdurf was also ranked 58th nationally by the All Star Girls Report coming out of high school. Alsdurf's senior season was highlighted by a 19.2 points per game average, setting a school record with 520 points for the year. She also averaged six boards and four assists that season. As a junior, she averaged 17.7 points per game. A five-time All-Conference selection, she also played tennis her senior year, playing no. 2 doubles. She also earned three letters in track, running the 200 meters and doing the long jump and triple jump. An exceptional student, Alsdurf was ranked fifth in her class of 598. She also played AAU for the Minnesota Summit. Her club team won state titles in 2000 and 2001 and finished fifth at the national championships in 2001. She was an AAU All-America in the summer of 2001. Personal Born March 7, 1983, Alsdurf is the daughter of Doug and Gail Alsdurf, and has an older brother, Andy. She is a public relations major. She was an AAU teammate of MU freshman Carolyn Kieger.
