2002-2003 Schwerman was Marquette's spark off the bench for the first 13 games of the season, before becoming the team's most consistent scoring threat at the end. She had a career best day against Virginia Commonwealth (Dec. 18) scoring 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three point range. She also set a career best with seven rebounds, leading MU to a 74-63 win. She has eclipsed the 10-point mark while coming off the bench on five occasions this year. Schwerman has 10 double figure scoring games off the bench for her career, all Marquette victories. Five of those came this season. She also tossed in 13 against Wisconsin (Jan. 5), hitting four threes in that game. She moved into the starting lineup for the last 17 games of the season, earning a start against South Florida (Jan. 17). Since then, she scored double figures 11 times, tossing in 13 against Saint Louis (Jan. 26). She tossed in 10 or more in the last eight games, scoring 12 against Southern Miss (Feb. 9), 13 against Charlotte (Feb. 16), 16 at Louisville (Feb. 21) and 13 at Cincinnati (Feb. 23). She was most productive in the post season, setting career highs in back to back outings with 19 against Memphis (March 6) and 20 against Charlotte (March 7). She continued her scoring ways in the WNIT adding 10 in the win over Toledo (March 20) and 19 in the loss to Iowa (Marcy 23). She was 5-of-9 from three point land against the Hawkeyes. Unlike in her role off the bench, Marquette is not undefeated when Schwerman hits double figures as a starter. MU is 4-7 in those games when she starts. Since becoming a starter, Schwerman averages 11.5 points per game and has played in 26.3 minutes. Schwerman was deadly with her three point shot this season, hitting 42.7 percent. That total was the best single season total in Marquette history and was the second best in Conference USA. She upped her totals after hitting 5-of-9 from behind the arc against Louisville and 3-of-4 against Charlotte. She also was 3-of-6 from three point range at Saint Louis. She finished the season 28-of-51 (54,9 percent) from three point range in the last seven games. She continued to shoot well in Italy, during a four-game exhibition tour. She hit 47.8 percent of her threes (on a longer three point arc). She was second on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game, bolstered by a 25-point outing against Italsoft Reyer (May 21). 2001-2002 One thing was certain for Marquette last season, when Schwerman scored double figures off the bench, Marquette was a winner. The Golden Eagles were 5-0 in the five games she scored 10 or more points. She performed that feat in back-to-back games, scoring 11 against Alaska Anchorage and 10 against Wis.-Milwaukee. She also scored 10 against Arkansas State, tallied a team-high 15 against South Florida, setting a career high and scored 12 against East Carolina. She scored 13 against Louisville in a starting effort. She was quite adept at finding open players, recording 49 assists on the year -- tied for second on the team. She set a career high with six dishes against Alaska Anchorage and five against Michigan State. She was one of the more accurate three point shooters on the team at 30.1 percent. Schwerman was the most accurate free throw shooter on the team at 83.1 percent. Her free throw percentage was fourth best in Conference USA. 2000-2001 A member of Marquette's valuable freshman class, Schwerman earned starts at guard in six consecutive non-conference games. With a 3.6 points per game output, Schwerman finished the season seventh on the team in scoring. She also was steady from the free throw line, hitting a team high 89 percent. She hit all her free throws in 10 of 12 games she had an attempt, but didn't attempt a shot in the last nine games of the year. Schwerman established her career high in points in her collegiate debut, scoring eight points against Iowa in 18 minutes. She hit a pair of three pointers in that game. She approached her career high four times, but did not meet it. She scored seven points in both games of the St. Mary's Tournament and scored seven in consecutive games against Oregon State and Dayton. Against Southern Utah, she added four assists to her seven points. Against Louisville, she hit three shots on consecutive possessions to score a career-high-tying eight points. Schwerman set another career high with nine points on three three pointers against South Florida. She scored six points against Saint Louis; however, she missed the first game of her career against Charlotte prior to the C-USA Tournament. She was suffering from a slightly sprained ankle. High School (Kettle Moraine) Schwerman was the preseason Wisconsin Co-Player of the Year by Wisconsin AAU Girls' Basketball Magazine as a senior and was named to the Street & Smith Honorable Mention All-America team at the end of the year. She was also named an Honorable Mention All-American by Joe Smith's Women's Basketball News Service. Schwerman averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game as a senior and led Kettle Moraine to the Wisconsin Division I Championship as a junior. She was named Wisconsin Player of the Year as a junior as well as a first-team all-state performer, scoring 14.8 points and grabbing 6.0 rebounds that year. As a sophomore, Kettle Moraine was a state semifinalist, with Schwerman averaging 14 points and six rebounds that season, hitting 51 percent of her field goals. She scored 8.9 points per game as a freshman. She was named team MVP three times and was a three-time all-conference pick. She was named Conference Player of the Year as a junior as well as Milwaukee area Player of the Year as a junior. Her career was highlighted by All-State selections as a junior and senior. Personal Schwerman was born Nov. 4, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of Jack and Linda Schwerman and has one older sister, Jenny, a younger sister, Stacey, and one younger brother, David. She is majoring in finance and accounting.
