INDIANAPOLIS--The Marquette women's basketball team completed a perfect weekend with a 78-59 win at Butler Sunday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Junior Danielle King led all scorers and four Marquette (17-8, 11-3) players in double digits with a season-best 25 points, shooting 5-for-9 from beyond the arc. Allazia Blockton turned in her sixth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Amani Wilborn added 12 points and Natisha Hiedeman turned in 11. Erika Davenport grabbed a game-high 13 boards.

"I was proud of our maturity tonight," head coach Carolyn Kieger said. "We didn't start off the game very well. We called an early timeout and our players responded."

The Golden Eagles pulled down 44 rebounds, including 14 offensive boards, while Butler (13-14, 5-10) took down just 24, led by Tori Schickel's 10. Schickel also led the Bulldogs in scoring with 18 points, while Michelle Weaver added 13.

MU finished the day shooting 29-for-61 from the field for 47.5 percent.

After another slow first quarter start, Marquette outscored Butler 19-8 in the second frame and grabbed 14 points from 10 turnovers in the first half. King hit a long three pointer with seconds left in the first half to give MU a 33-24 lead at the break.

The Golden Eagles return home for their final regular season games at the Al and will host Villanova on Friday, Feb. 16 at 11:30 a.m. Central time. The game airs live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
