Al McGUIRE CENTER - Head Coach Terri Mitchell "We were incredibly tight in the first half. I give South Florida all the credit for the way they attacked us. I thought that we wanted the game so bad for our seniors that our emotions got ahead of us. What we talked about at half time was that everyone needed to take a collective deep breath, we need to relax we need to sharpen the defense. We made some simple adjustments defensively, and offensively we knew we were going to get the shots. It was just a matter of getting our defense in order because when we get our defense in order we play much better offensively." "I think we were over extending ourselves. We were over committing ourselves and they were making the extra pass and we were out of position. We talked about guarding the three point line and keeping their hot scores in front of us. But I knew we'd be fine. There was no panic in the locker room. It was a matter of saying we did what we did and come out and change it."
About USF:
About the play of Osagie-Landry: Senior guard Efueko Osagie-Landry
"Obviously the goal with senior night is to not say that it's over at this point. This is just the beginning of something. Now we have two tournaments coming up and it's that much more urgency to relax because the end is not here yet. We have all bonded together so much with everything we've gone through together over four years. Now we are able to say we've conquered something this season."
