PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Despite double-figure scoring efforts by Arlesia Morse, Katie Young and Katherine Plouffe, the Marquette University women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought decision at Rutgers, 69-58, in both team's regular season finale.

Marquette (13-16, 4-12 BIG EAST) awaits its seed in the BIG EAST Conference Championship, which begins Friday, March 2 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.

Morse led the Golden Eagles with 19 points, while Young chipped in 14 and Plouffe contributed 11 in the loss.

Rutgers' April Sykes led all scorers with 20 points and five steals, while Khadijah Rushdan registered a double-double for the Scarlet Knights (21-8, 10-6 BIG EAST) with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
