MILWAUKEE - Angel Robinson might have thought Thanksgiving was coming a week early this year. The junior guard stuffed the stat sheet like a holiday bird Saturday afternoon, recording the first triple-double in Marquette women's basketball history while leading the Golden Eagles (3-1) past Oakland, 79-62 at the Al McGuire Center.

Robinson, who previously had two career double-doubles to her credit, recorded 10 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for the first triple double in program history. The unanimous All-BIG EAST Preseason Team selection also chipped in on the defensive end with four blocks and four steals.

A layup by sophomore Jessica Pachko with 3:20 remaining in the second half gave Robinson her 10th assist for the triple-double. Pachko finished the contest a career-high 13-of-16 from the free throw line for 23 points, also a career best.

The Golden Eagles mounted an 11-0 run in the second half to take control of the game, gaining a 69-53 lead at the end of the outburst. Prior to that, the Golden Grizzlies had pulled the game to within five at 58-53 on a trey from junior guard Stacey Farrell.

For the game, MU out-rebounded Oakland 20-5 on the offensive end, resulting in a 21-4 margin for the Golden Eagles in second chance points.

Oakland scored six straight points to end the first half, cutting its deficit to nine points at the break with the score 38-29.

A three-pointer by Tatiyiana McMorris capped an 11-0 run in the middle of the first, giving MU a 23-12 advantage after the game was tied at 12-12.

After shooting 44 percent from the free throw line in the second half against Creighton Thursday evening, MU shot 81 percent (26-of-32) from the charity stripe against OU.

The four blocks were a career high for Robinson, while the 10 assists tied a career record.

Junior Paige Fiedorowicz scored a season-high 18 points in only 18 minutes of action.

Farrell led Oakland (1-3) off the bench with 14 points, while senior guard Melissa Jeltema recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Marquette returns to action on Thanksgiving at 2:30 p.m. against Cleveland State at the Caribbean Challenge in Cancun, Mexico.
