"We were highly anticipating this game and were really excited about opening the BIG EAST. We have so much respect for all the coaches and the talent in the league. We have to get through the non-conference schedule, but we got this little taste early. We come out of this knowing there are still some things to work on, but overall we executed our game plan."

"It's every coach's goal to step on the court and out-rebound the opponent, so we talked a lot about that in the last two games. We learned a lot against Rice; we need to box out. Overall, we were around fighting and were physical."

"We focused on rebounding a lot in practice and worked extra hard this last week. We had given up a lot of offensive boards, and towards the stretch, we got hungry for the ball."
