MADISON, Wis. - The Marquette University women's basketball team (2-6) fell at Wisconsin, 89-64, on Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

Senior Apiew Ojulu led three Golden Eagles in double digits with 13 points, while classmate Arlesia Morse added 11 and redshirt junior Lauren Tibbs recorded 10 points. Morse took down a team-high eight rebounds, while Tibbs pulled six.

The Badgers came out halftime on a 10-2 run in the first four minutes of play and never looked back, using a 14-5 run to take a 61-43 lead at the 11:34 mark in the second frame.

Marquette trailed just three points heading into the break, 37-34, and shot 34.4 percent (11-32) from the field. Tibbs and Morse combined for a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the first half.

The Golden Eagles finished the day shooting 30.8 percent (20-65) from the field and 22-for-23 from the charity stripe, while Wisconsin connected on 53. 2 percent (33-62) of its shots from the field, including a 63.3 percent mark in the second half.

Marquette committed just 12 turnovers, a season-low for the squad, while forcing the Badgers to turn the ball over nine times to score 11 points off of those miscues.

The Golden Eagles will have one week off to focus on finals and return to the court on Monday, Dec. 15 to host Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. CT. That game will open a four-game homestand for the squad.
