About losing to UWM last year...
No. We remember last year, but it is dead and buried. This is a new season, new players, and our team has great character. We just want to get better with each game. We want to use the non-conference to prepare for the BIG EAST, and we felt like we have played a solid schedule. We have learned a lot of lessons and have gotten better. Now we need to take those lessons learned into Saturday night.

About getting off to a hot start early in the game...
We had excellent practices since we came back from Christmas break. The biggest reason we played well was because on Saturday night, when everyone got back from being home, they played hard. We had three great practices, and when you practice well, you play well. That is the biggest reason we came out with the determination we did.

About Marquette's pressure...
I think that is our identity right now. We pressure the ball and look to make things happen. We throw random traps in, although, I really respected their three-point shooting. We probably trapped less, but denied a whole lot more. I think that helped. We got some steals and were able to take that lead in the first half. That is going to be us. We are not big, so we have to pressure the ball. It always starts with defense. If we are going to win, it is going to be because of our defensive effort.

About Sarina's maturity...
Every game she is getting better. She has great leadership from Paige, Joss and Jess, and Sarina is benefiting from their leadership. She is an incredible athlete, and to see what she did today with the blocks and rebounds, scoring becomes secondary. Eventually, I think she will be a double-figure scorer.

About the play of Jessica Pachko...
We want to get the ball inside to Jess. We are not hiding that. She is a pretty special player, and so we want to give her touches. What makes her special is that she knows when it is her day and when it is not. She is also an incredible passer. Today the team knew it was her day. Our team was unselfish and got the ball to her.

Sophomore Forward Jessica Pachko
About her scoring in the second half...
The main point was to stay steady. Terri's main point at halftime was to stay steady. Any good team could make a run and we had come back with poise, stop the run and handle it. That was the biggest factor. We had certain plays that were working very well, and my teammates were looking for me inside. We were getting the ball in the right spot.
